Where the Desert Meets the Hills
16mm/4K looping video, 30 min
May 3-17, 2019, Power Plant Gallery, Durham, NC
A binocular portrait of the most isolated town in the continental US, seen through the eyes of travelers, itinerant workers, and other outsiders who cover vast distances across salt flats and sagebrush. With the help of an unnamed navigator along with radio waves that collapse time and space, the film orbits the town as seasons change and landscapes listen.
