I'm an artist, filmmaker, and educator based in Chicago, IL. After spending the better part of my childhood with a video camera in my hand, I fell in love with personal and observational documentaries in Harvard's Art, Film, and Visual Studies program. I went on to study experimental film and work extensively with 16mm. My own films draw from both experimental and documentary traditions, exploring how we make home, resist carceral barriers, and use art to engage with family and community. I was recognized by Filmmaker Magazine as one of 25 New Faces of Independent Film. These days, you can find me serving as a cinematographer and editor for independent documentaries, organizations, social movements, as well as artists and bands.
